DLD Teen Hope: A Second Chance for Our Youth
At DLD Teen Hope, we run a remedial school program for boys and girls aged 12 to 16 who have dropped out of the traditional school system. As part of the ANFEN Center, our mission is to provide these adolescents with opportunities to rebuild their confidence, develop skills, and reimagine their futures.
Many of the teenagers we support come from difficult social and financial circumstances. Repeated academic failures have left them with low self-esteem and limited prospects.
At DLD Teen Hope, we believe in empowering these young individuals by addressing their challenges and offering them the tools they need to overcome obstacles. Together, we are helping them avoid the pitfalls of societal challenges and guiding them toward a brighter, more promising future.
The DOLLY LAMARQUE DUC Teen Hope Project
Located in ‘La Maison du Savoir’ in Cité La Cure, the DLD Teen Hope Project operates from Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. As part of our holistic approach, a psychologist meets with the children weekly, either in groups or individually, to provide emotional support and guidance.
Our Vision
We aim to provide adolescents with a well-rounded education, including literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills to help rebuild their self-esteem. By doing so, we strive to make them employable and contribute to the fight against poverty.
Our Mission
To support vulnerable children, often subject to neglect and exposed to violence, by helping them find their place in society and guiding them to become responsible citizens.
Our Beneficiaries
Our primary beneficiaries are the adolescents who have been part of the DLD Teen Hope Project since its inception. Indirectly, their families also benefit, as the program helps these young individuals integrate into the workforce, improving their financial situations.
Currently, 84 adolescents are enrolled in the program, continuing the legacy of empowering youth and building stronger, more resilient communities.
